Asteco Korea has announced the “DigiMemo A501″ s a portable digital note pad which digitalizes the contents written or drawn on a regular paper (Size 215mm x 155mm; up to A5 size) by using the Electromagnetic technology, and then stores them in the storage device. Unlike other digital notepads you dont have to write on a LCD but on regular paper. You can save the contents on the internal flash memory in real time. The onboard software allows the user to save it as an Ebook to be send easily via Email. The Digimemo has *MB Flash memory which can store 40 pages of A5 size, memory can be expanded via the CF card slot. It connects to the host via USB. The Diginote is the size of an A4 paper, weighs around 550 grams and is powered by 4 AAA batteries.

Having a watch with built-in USB capabilities and memory is nothing new, so this watch by Doratch doesn’t impress me all that much. Even worse is the fact that it doesn’t even look cool. If you are going to wear a watch, I don’t care what cool things it does, it needs to be stylish.
It’s compatible with all the popular OSes out today, but password protection can only be used with Windows. The watch costs $190 so not only do you get a basic USB drive, but you also get an ugly fashion accessory to go along with it. Where can I sign up?
The EverLife Flashlight uses no batteries or bulbs. Instead it uses your energy and induction to produce a bright light using efficient LED technology. Just shake the light for about 30 seconds and the EverLife Flashlight will provide about 5 minutes of light. During prolonged use it can be shaken for 10-15 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes giving you an unlimited supply of light.
The EverLife Flashlight requires no maintenance. You can leave it in your car, home, boat or RV for a long time and it will still be ready to produce light when you need it. The bright LED will last for thousands of hours and provide a lifetime of service.
As is the case with any industry where technology is still relatively new, companies are always trying to get the leg up on the competition by having their technology become the industry standard. The wireless industry has been in a battle for a couple of years over what the newest high-speed Wi-Fi wireless Internet connection should be for computers and other portable devices.
Finally, industry leaders have come together to form the Enhanced Wireless Consortium, which includes such giants as Broadcom, Intel, Cisco, Sony and Toshiba. The companies are looking to ratify the standard by 2006 so they can move forward and develop products because the money isn’t in making the standards, it’s making the products that use the standards.
What would you do if you needed your computer built? Hire the Lego Army of course! A funny look at what happens when you expect Lego people to do a man’s job with commentary and all.
Our friend Henning Hoffman is looking for an enthusiastic writer for HDBlog. Henning has done a wonderful job in maintaining the site and it would be a shame to see it go anywhere because he is having a hard time keeping up.
So if you are interested shoot him an email as it should be pretty fun for anyone interested in that line of technology.
This is just stupid. Mailnation is now offering over 1 terabyte (1000GB) of email storage for free. Who in the hell is going to use 1TB of storage? If you acquire that much email then you have some cleaning up to do.
Yahoo has the right idea with email, it’s not the fact that they are increasing their storage, it’s the fact that they are improving their interface, hich from what I hear kicks the hell out of Gmail.
So yeah if you want another webmail account with lots of storage you know where to find it and if you test it out, make sure to let us know how it works for you.
I don’t use Google Talk so I can speak on how useful something like this is, but it’s cool nonetheless since it comes across as a hack. All of this can be done in 3 easy steps, but I’m not too sure anyone wants to hear my music let alone my voice over Google Talk.
The more I think about this the less useful it seems it is, you can only broadcast to one person at a time. Lame. Nice try though I suppose.
I have yet to try out a VoIP service such as Vonage for my calling since I am doing just fine with my cellphone and Skype. However, if I ever decide to venture down that route in the future it is reassuring to know that I could simply setup a VoIP system over my existing landlines.
Jake Ludington has gone over, in agonizing detail, the steps needed to setup such a system and although there are quite a few, the process seems pretty simple.
Have you ever been to a Theme Park and saw a childleash? On the outside I laugh at the misfortune of the child, but on the inside I cry because the parents aren’t using suitable materials for the leash. Nothing prevents a kid from running away like a good steel chain. One of those large ones that Mr. T used to wear around his neck or the kind that John Cena wears now. However, if chains aren’t your thing you should probably checkout this tracking system done by Ion Kids.

My favorite quote from the site would definitely have to be from C & J Bowser (where’s Mario?):
