This is wild to me. Commodore is how I learned dos, so when I heard they entered the Gaming Biz, I wasn’t thinking much of anything. Their new gaming line will consist of four models ranging from the entry-level Cg to the top-shelf Cxx. The Cxx will have a quad-core 2.66GHz Core 2 Extreme, dual GeForce 8800s, and 4GB of RAM. This is direct competition to the Dell’s, Alienware, and Falcon. Will it stack up? Only Time will Tell.

These tiny iMono Card Readers from Brando are so small you might even lose them in your pocket if they didn’t have keychains attached, but they come in three different versions that accommodate your choice of T-Flash/MicroSD memory cards, M2 or miniSD cards, and all three can read SIM cards from your cellphone.
Transfer files to the PC, or slide in your SIM card from your cellphone and back up all your contacts and other information. Might come in handy right before you rock a firmware update on that balky smartphone of yours. Not a bad deal for $10.

Windows Vista may yet prove to be an unstoppable juggernaut, but statistics released today by a market research firm show that the new operating system hasn’t even licked its nine-year old ancestor.
Vista was being used on less than 1% of PCs tracked in February by Aliso Viejo-based Net Applications Inc., making it the sixth most-popular operating system. That puts it behind Windows 98, which is still used on 1.5% of computers.
Vista’s exact share was 0.93%. Windows XP continued to lead, with 84.3%, followed by Windows 2000, with 4.8%. Mac OS X on PowerPC machines had 4.3%, while newer Intel-based PCs running OS X had 2.1%. Net Applications collects its data from the browsers of visitors to its network of more than 40,000 Web sites.

Samsung hasn’t truly declared themselves either way in the war on DVD. Their newest laptop is a step toward HD-DVD. Their M55 laptop supports HD DVD. The machine has a Core Duo T2500, 2GB of RAM, 120GB SATA disk, 17-inch 1920×1200 screen. The price point is high, but so is practically every laptop now.
Rumor is price point is around $3,200.

The old continent of Europe is still lagging behind America and Asia when it comes to air conditioning in homes, but that situation is slowly and surely changing. LG aims to take a stab at the European market by introducing the Artcool range of air conditioners which feature a picture frame that can hold a favorite photo or replica artwork of yours. There is no word on pricing or availability, but it would be cool to see air conditioners in the future come with a memory card slot of some kind and an LCD display which acts as a digital photo frame. Sure, the cost of the air conditioner could rise drastically but I’m banking on economies of scale to combat that.
