Apple always likes being the next big thing. With each passing computer season they seem to up the bar of making the home network a little closer

This season will be no different. The 802.11n Airport Extreme doubles the range, and speeds up the ability for upload and download. They have MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) capability. Where old routers wold send out everyones information at one time, the Apple new router sends out each persons individually, to make speeds more efficient.

Rumor around computer circles is that the new Extreme looks to not hit shelves until the release of leopard. It will have the same price point at the original Aiport extreme at launch.
